Show something from your past

​”As a young girl, I loved to_________ ( go swimming, fishing, have tea with my grandparents, hide in my room and read, draw houses, etc.). I remembered this when I saw this_________ (picture, book, cup, etc *something you can take a picture of or an old picture).

Even though_______ (my grandparents have passed, I don’t live near the sea anymore, etc), I still love (to draw, fish, cook, to drink special tea, etc).

It reminds me of how _________ (happy, joyful, in love, hopeful, loved, curious, focussed, fun, etc) I often felt as a young girl.

And then I realized I still feel like that when_______ (I work with clients, create my art, play my music, touch people’s hearts, hug my kids, etc. *something that shows who you are as a professional/human being*).

A sense of urgency

Every June I’m always surprised by how quickly time passes. It seems like just yesterday I _________ [I opened my new website / I opened my Etsy shop / sat in front of the mic for the first time / graduated with my business degree / had my first client], afraid that ________ [nothing would sell / no one would listen to my podcast / my start-up would never take off]. Here we are, _______ [6 months / 3 years / 12 years] later, and time has proved yet again that _________ [good things come to those who are patient (while doing the work) / success doesn’t come overnight]… I always keep this in mind when times get tough. I just know that everything will work out for me.

Be Relatable!

STEP 1: TEXT

Sometimes I wish I had a 100% care-free nature (I wasn’t such a deep thinker and feeler). But – sigh – I am that (woman who feels everything, reads 20 books each week, cries when I look at nature, needs alone time) and I wouldn’t want it any other way. In my experience, ________ [the best things in life come unexpectedly/when one door closes another opens when I accept that ], even when it seems impossible at the moment.

When I first started my business, I _________ [made tons of mistakes/was worried what people would think/didn’t know ANYthing about running a company] but still, it brought me to where I am today. I made so many mistakes and had so many celebrations. I wouldn’t trade my business journey for the world! Keep going, friend!
