YOUR WRITING PROMPTS
WELCOME TO THE BRAVE BUSINESS ACADEMY
Getting stuck and not showing up because you can’t think of what to share on your social media channels?
By sharing more about how you think, what your life looks like, who you Really Are, you draw people into your life.
But sometimes it’s hard to get started.
For that reason I send you a weekly Social Media Writing Prompt. All the past weekly Writing Prompts are collected here on the Academy.
WRITING PROMPTS 1
STEP 1: YOUR TEXT
”As a young girl . . . ” or “When I was young” …..
I loved to ( go swimming, fishing, have tea with my grandparents, hide in my room and read, draw houses). I was reminded of that last week (yesterday, this morning) when I saw this (picture, book, cup, etc *something you can take a picture of or an old picture).
Even though (my grandparents have passed, I don’t live near the sea anymore, etc), I still love (to draw, fish, cook, to drink special tea, etc).
When I saw (picture, book, cup, … ) I felt again how (happy, sad, joyful, in love, hopeful, loved, curious, etc) I often was as a young girl.
And then I realized I still feel like that when (I work with clients, create my art, play my music, touch peoples hearts, hug my kids, etc. *something that shows who you are as a professional/human being*).
Do you recognize that? What takes you back to your childhood?
So when you make this your text it could read something like:
“As a young girl, I loved to pretend I was Pippi Longstocking. I was reminded of that last week when I found my old Pippi book behind my books about German Philosophy.
Even though I haven’t read the book for ages, I still love to pretend I’m Pippi.
When I saw the book, I felt again how much I created my own world – where everything was possible and I could do whatever I wanted because it felt good – when I was a young girl.
And then I realized I still feel like that when I work with clients and grow my business. Like everything is possible and I can do whatever I want.
Do you recognize that? What takes you back to your childhood?”
STEP 2: ADD A GREAT PICTURE
Take a selfie of you with the cup. Or the book. Or just your hand holding the object you describe.
STEP 3: SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Make sure you react to the reactions that will come. Reacting is showing you care. And also share in the Academy Facebook group! We want to see you!
STEP 4: USE THE RIGHT HASHTAGS
Hashtags are only for Instagram and Linkedin. Not for Facebook.
I hope this will help you, I’m sure your post will make people look at you. All you’ve got to do is write your posts, give people the chance to really ‘get’ you, open you heart, your doors, your offer and grow your business!
- Tip: Use the Caption maker app. This is an awesome tool, it looks like it comes from the 1990’s, but it works like a charm. Clean and Beautiful Line Breaks for Instagram. There is a free website version and a paid app for your phone. It helps you get your text on Instagram the way you want it, with white lines without those ugly dots, and even bold and italic if you like that. It is designed to work with Instagram, but you can also use it for Facebook. CAPTIONMAKER
